YCT has changed its objectives - good news!
We have just been given consent from the Charity Commission to change our objectives. We wanted to invite more young people living with cancer to Tracy Ann House in Bournemouth for a holiday so we have opened up to young people living in the UK and the Irish Republic.
It was felt that after research that youngsters in the Irish Republic might be missing out on some fun! so now they can come over to the UK for a holiday and we will pay for all their transport costs, so it won't cost them a penny.
We have also changed the age range to 14 to 30.
We felt it was unfair that some of the youngsters who have been coming on holidays had to suddenly stop when they reached 30. Lots of them have made such strong friendships with the people they meet at YCT and we felt they should still be able to come to Tracy Ann House if it helps improve their lives! Thomas Green is one of those youngsters and has written an article about the profound affects of living with cancer. Read Thomas's articel here
