Bournemouth Echo YCT Appeal 2009 /10

YCT Appeal

We are running out of room!!

The YCT has re-launched it's appeal at a recent event at the Houses of Parliament. The YCT trustees have agreed that an extension to Tracy Ann House would not give us much more room to grow for the future.

The new appeal is to raise £1.5m to purchase a new facility with more room for increasing occupancy and more facilities for the youngsters in-house.

This year we have had 230 young cancer patients stay at Tracy Ann House and the school holidays are becoming over-subscribed.

YCT will stay in this area but needs more room to grow for the future

Each week the Daily Echo are featuring stories about the youngsters and their experiences of cancer and how much a YCT holiday means to them. You can view the articles here

The Youth Cancer Trust would like to thank all those involved at the Daily Echo for their support.

"We would like to thank everyone who has donated to the appeal so far. It is going to be hard work to raise this amount of money so we appreciate any donation however small - it all counts. I suppose it is a measure of our success that we need to expand. More and more young people want to come to Bournemouth for a holiday and we are becoming more recognised amongst the medical profession as being an invaluable part of the recovery process"

Also, thank you to all the people and organisations who have donated in kind to the YCT - please don't worry we will be taking everything with us!"
